Description: Newcastle Ocean Baths have recently reopened after undergoing some major rejuvenation works. The bath is a saltwater swimming pool filled with seawater. The pool is used by lap and recreational swimmers and the surrounding areas are used for leisure and sunbathing activities.
There are large open-air changerooms (ie - the roof is partly open). The communal showers are undercover and well shielded, so when you're in the shower you can't easily be seen by others in the changerooms, or by those entering/exiting the changerooms
