Description: William Birch pool rest area is located approx 20 mins south of Wanganui on state highway 3 and approx 45 mins from the Bulls, It's not overly well sign posted in either direction so have to keep your eyes open for the sign and it will be on the right hand side as you head down the hill just after the bend in the road or left hand side as you're travelling North. There is only 1 public toilet so not great to hook up with but there are plenty of trees and tracks to go off and have some discrete fun in.
